Cultivation data

WKDV provides an easy-to-use service for database-supported administration of cultivation data.

Overview of performance characteristics

  • Database-supported administration of cultivation data (with reference to data projects)
  • Planning and history of the cultivation of test fields
  • Record measures (e.g. sowing, fertilizing, cutting, …) in relation to time and location
  • Detailed description of measures (e.g. with regard to the use of equipment / quantities / intensity)

Getting started

Data management portal: First steps

What is cultivation?

Within the scope of the data management portal, cultivation describes when and whereby which measures were used for an area of investigation (e.g. digging a test field).

How do I set up a new cultivation?

Within the data management portal, you will find under the tab Cultivation data the menu item New cultivation data set. A new cultivation can be directly set up thereon:

New cultivation data set

Moreover, within the scope of considering the cultivation data sets of an area of investigation, new cultivations may be added via the button New data set.

What is a measure?

A measure describes which activity was used for a specific area of investigation (e.g. "digging"). New measures may be set up in the data management portal within the tab "Cultivation data" over the menu item Manage measures.

What is an object of measure?

An object of measure describes whereby a measure was carried out.

When setting up a new cultivation, either no objects of measure or several objects of measure may be selected. An object of measure is generally allocated to a class of objects of measure. This is used for structuring and better finding the objects of measure.

New objects of measure may be set up within the data management portal in the tab Cultivation data over the menu item Manage objects of measure.

What is a class of objects of measure?

A class of objects of measure is grouping several objects of measure.

They can better managed thereby and it is easier to find them when a new cultivation is set up.

New classes of objects of measure may be set up within the data management portal in the tab Cultivation data over the menu item Managing classes of objects of measure.
