Your duties

Actual contact persons

  • A minimum of one technical and one content-related contact person must always be present for an application hosted on WOMBAT.

  • A technical contact person must be able to provide an updated version of the application. This is necessary, For instance, installing security updates or meeting adaption needs based on modifications to the underlying infrastructure.

  • Changes to the technical and content-related contacts must be communicated to the WOMBAT responsible persons in a timely manner. This includes especially the case that a contact person leaves the UFZ.

Security

  • The technical contact people are responsible of the application's security and are dedicated to applying security updates on a regular basis. Usually, this is accomplished by upgrading the relevant Docker images and informing the WOMBAT responsible individuals of the new version number (or image tag).

Violation of duties

  • A violation of the duties mentioned above is a risk concerning the IT security of the web application, its users and the UFZ. In such cases, the web application will be shut down.

Basic support

  • We ensure the operation of the technical infrastructure and ensure that your Docker Images operate as uninterruptedly as possible.

Reliability

  • We periodically maintain the technical infrastructure.
