Setting up new investigation areas or measuring points¶
The creation of new investigation areas or measuring locations is currently being carried out by WKDV employees. Please send us the required information using the appropriate template (see below) by e-mail to wkdv-datamanagement@ufz.de.
Measuring points¶
To set up new measuring points we need the following information for each measuring point:
- Label
- Short label (max 10 characters)
- Geographical latitude of the measurement location in decimal according to WGS84 (EPSG:4326) (-90 to +90)
- Geographical longitude of the measurement location in decimal according to WGS84 (EPSG:4326) (-180 to +180)
- Altitude of the measuring point (in metres above NHN)
- Time zone (related to GMT)
- Name of the investigation area to which the measuring point is to be assigned
- Description (optional)
Note
Labels and short labels must be unique and should not yet be available in the data management portal. Under the following link you can see already existing locations in the data management portal: Overview.
Investigation area¶
If an investigation area does not yet exist in the data management portal, it must also be created. For this we need the following information:
- Label
- Short label (max 10 characters)
- Type (optional)
- Coordinates of the corner points of the investigation area according to WGS84 (see measuring point)
- Superordinate investigation area (optional)
- Description (optional)
